What is Cendol?
A soup dessert made from coconut milk, shaved ice, palm sugar, red beans and green flour noodles (called cendol, which is where the dish gets its name). So refreshing on a hot day (which is every day in most of Malaysia). You can get it in a bowl, cup or bag - but I recommend having it at the stall in a bowl with a spoon for the best experience.
How to eat Cendol
When eating it in a bowl as a soup, you will most likely have to stir all the ingredients together, making sure that the sugar and ice are mixed well. This can be a bit tricky if the bowl is full, so try carefully prodding down the ice to separate it.
