A small backpacker-favourite town, a few hours north of Chiang Mai. There's a night market along the main walking street every night with lots of tasty Thai dishes as well as some international choices to please the tourists. There are also some small budget Thai restaurants where you can get a rice or noodle dish for around 30B.
Below is some of the best food in Pai...

Read the full review..."Apparently it's a good place and people seem to like the khao soi but when I went there at 6pm for an early dinner, I wasn't greeted and had to ask for a menu and the reply was "we only have three menus" and he pointed to a table of six people. The place wasn't even half full so I have no idea how they cope when it's full."
